Metro's Basix Carts are constructed from a strong steel alloy to endure the rigors of the health care and laboratory environment, while providing a safe, ergonomic and flexible work station for staff.

Features:

Safe: The polymer base protects the cart and surrounding environment from incidental contact. The base is designed to allow the 5" (127mm) casters to be mounted outboard of the cabinet, keeping the cart stable when a fully loaded drawer is accessed.
Ergonomic: The polymer top provides a user friendly work surface. Optional accessory push handles can be mounted in an ergonomic fashion to allow for easy pushing or pulling of the cart.
Flexible: User defined configurations can be accommodated by filling empty cart bodies with desired 3", 6", 9" and 12" (76,152, 229, 305mm) drawer heights. Cart bodies are available in overall heights of 45" (1440mm) or 38-1/2" (978mm). *Please contact our Product Specialists for more information.
Accessible: Full-extension drawers and a full array of accessories place equipment and supplies where needed for convenient access. Optional drawer dividers keep supplies neat and organized.
Mobile: This cabinet comes with 5" (127mm) diameter casters ( with swivel brakes, 2 with swivel-lock) allowing it to be easily maneuvered from location to location or moved for convenience when cleaning.
Accessories: A full array of task support accessories are available for above the work surface or on the sides of the cart.

General Cart

Metro Basix Carts are offered in standard model cart packages that include accessories as noted for each. Basix Compact Carts feature a smaller foot print for tighter spaces than the standard body cart. All carts have a double-wall steel body for structural integrity and a powder coat finish for durability.

Color options include (20) accent colors available in Two-Tone (cart body in Light Taupe with drawers in one selected color) or Solid (cart body and drawers in one selected color). In both color scheme options, all polymer components (i.e. top work surface, drawer pulls, casters and base) are always in Light Taupe. Please note that Compact Cart casters are only available in a natural steel finish.
