Metro's Open Starsys System is a productivity focused, high-density transport and storage system that adapts to change, while providing safe and comfortable access to the material it stores. Optional full-extension shelves offer increased storage capacity compared to standard shelving and carts. Units may be designed to fit your needs in three simple steps as follows:
1 Select a Shell
Shells are available in single, double or triple wide dimensions to accommodate intermediate shelves, either stationary and/or full-extension. Twelve shell models are available in three widths, two heights, stationary, mobile or mobile ESD* variants.
*ESD Classification: Conductive (Stationary and Mobile ESD units only).

2 Select a Configuration
Each shell comes complete with top and bottom wire shelves, posts with slotted inserts, footplates (for stationary models), weighted platform and casters (for mobile models) and necessary hardware. Triple-wide units also include one pair of Intermediate Posts to create a single wide and double wide bay to accommodate available shelves widths.

3 Select Shelves
Shelves are available in stationary or full-extension styles that can be installed at any location on a post within a shell at 1" (25mm) increments. Stationary shelves include necessary mounting clip and each full-extension shelf includes one pair of shelf glides with a hand-lock button to prevent shelf movement while mobile. Stationary and full-extension shelves can be utilized within the same shell.

Select Optional Accessories
Accessories allow you to further customize your Open Starsys Unit. Enclosure Panels are available for top, sides and back to protect unit contents. In addition, there are Post Filler Kits, Shelf Label Holders, Dividers and Ledges.
