Metro’s Utility Carts can be used in a variety of unique transport applications. These commercial quality carts feature durable materials, ergonomic handles and premium casters to promote a long life and ease of use.
Metro offers a series of 6 Cart types, each with various sizes, weight capacities and characteristics. While there are standard models offered, these carts may be modified or entirely new ones may be created utilizing standard component parts and optional accessories. Metro Utility Carts are available in Standard-Duty and Heavy-Duty categories as follows:
Standard-Duty Utility Carts
The BC Series polymer carts feature a ship’s edge lip around the shelf perimeter to contain spills. The shelves are specially designed to resist staining and wipe clean easily. 2-shelf and 3-shelf styles are available in 4 colors: gray, blue and black, the slate blue color only, includes Microban antimicrobial protection. The weight capacity for this series is 400 lbs. (181kg) per unit, evenly distributed. Optional wastebasket and utility bin accessories are available.
The Deep Ledge Series polymer carts are designed with a 2-3/4” (70mm) deep ledge to contain product and spills. The easy-to-position center shelf option adjusts at 1” (25mm) increments. The polymer shelves are easy to clean and corrosion proof. 2-shelf and 3-shelf styles are available in 4 colors: gray, blue and black, the slate blue color only, includes Microban antimicrobial protection. The weight capacity for this series is 400 lbs. (181kg) per unit, evenly distributed. Optional wastebasket and utility bin accessories are available.
The MW Series is a Super Erecta based product consisting of wire or solid shelves with plastic split sleeves, two one-piece handles of matching finish and designated casters with donut bumpers. The carts are available in finishes of chrome, stainless steel or a combination thereof in 2-shelf or 3-shelf styles. The weight capacity for this series is 375 lbs. (170kg) per unit, evenly distributed. Units may be customized with Super Erecta accessories to meet specific requirements.
Heavy-Duty Utility Carts
The SP Series is a Super Erecta based product consisting of wire shelves with plastic split sleeves, two one-piece handles of matching finish and casters that allow the transport of heavier loads with donut bumpers. The carts are available in finishes of brite, chrome or stainless steel in 2-shelf or 3-shelf styles. The weight capacity for this series ranges from 600 lbs. to 900 lbs. (273 to 410kg) per unit, evenly distributed, depending upon the model selected. Units may be customized with Super Erecta accessories to meet specific requirements.
The MetroMax i Series is a corrosion proof, all polymer cart with a Type 304 stainless steel handle. The 5PCX casters are corrosion resistant with polyurethane wheels, polymer horns and stainless steel axles. Microban antimicrobial product protection is built into the posts, frames and removable shelf mats. The carts are available in 2-shelf and 3-shelf styles. The weight capacity for this series is 900 lbs. (408kg) per unit, evenly distributed. Units may be customized with MetroMax iQ accessories to meet specific requirements.
The MetroMax Q Series features corrosion resistant shelf frames and posts with corrosion proof polymer shelf grids and Type 304 stainless steel handle. This unit has 5MPX casters with polyurethane wheels and polymer horns. Microban antimicrobial product protection is built into the epoxy coated posts, frames and removable shelf grids. The carts are available in 2-shelf and 3-shelf styles. The weight capacity for this series is 900 lbs. (408kg) per unit, evenly distributed. Units may be customized with MetroMax iQ accessories to meet specific requirements.
