Metro Exchange Carts: ECM-C Series

Metro's Super Erecta Transport/Exchange Cart is ideal for moving supplies or linens from Central Supply or the Laundry to nursing units and other functional departments.  These transport carts utilize a dolly base to endure the rigors encountered in the daily distribution of products throughout health care facilities.

These carts feature Super Adjustable shelves with a patented release lever to allow for easy reconfiguration of shelves as supply dimensions change.  Carts offer various features (as noted) such as dividers, enclosure panels, Super Erecta slides and tote boxes in various combinations, all of which can be removed and reconfigured to adapt to changes in supply, volume and packaging.

This Deluxe model (#ECM55XC) is available in two sizes, each with (4) chrome-plated Super Adjustable wire shelves, (1) solid stainless steel bottom shelf, (4) chrome-plated posts, aluminum dolly frame with wraparound bumper, (4)  8" (203mm) resilient plate casters (2 w/brake), (2) 6" (152mm) deep tote boxes with dividers, (4) shelf dividers and (12) label holders.

Metro qwikTRAK System

Metro’s qwikTRAK High-Density Storage System can increase the storage capacity of a given area by 30% to 50%.  This system allows more storage units to fit in a defines space.  A movable, open aisle allows full access to each shelving unit, thus eliminating hard to reach or “dead” spaces.  The floor track system guides the mobile units and opens an access aisle between any two units whenever it is needed.  This enables easy access for employees or for utility carts, simplifying the material handling task.  The qwikTRAK System is compatible with Super Erecta, Super Adjustable-Super Erecta, Super Erecta Pro, MetroMax i and MetroMax Q shelving systems.

 The qwikTRAK floor tracks, constructed of aluminum and stainless steel, provide a smooth gliding surface for mobile units, while protecting the floors from wear and tear.  The floor tracks do not require fastening to the floor.  Floor tracks compensate for rough or choppy floor surfaces.  The mobile units are designed to move easily and store heavy weight loads.  MetroMax i mobile qwikTRAK units can hold up to 1200 lbs. (544kg).  MetroMax Q, Super Adjustable and Super Erecta mobile qwikTRAK units can hold up to 2000 lbs. (907kg).

Super Erecta Top-Track System

The Top-Track System with no floor tracks, allows utility carts to easily roll into and out of the active aisle.  Shelving units assemble in minutes.  Tracks attach to support rails on each stationary end unit and above the mobile units.  Weight capacities on mobile units are limited to 900 lbs. (410kg) and stationary units hold up to 2,000 lbs. (907kg).  The system compensates for uneven floor surfaces, however, floors should be smooth and free from large cracks or raised obstacles.

Perf Top Clean Room Tables

Form Follows Function with another Metro® Classic Design.  The Perf Top Clean Tables feature Type 304 stainless steel, HD Super® posts and proven Super Erecta® construction.  The perforated table tops are manufactured from 14 gauge, Type 304, electro-polished stainless steel with .75" (19mm) holes on 1" (25mm) centers, resulting in approximately 35% open area.  The tables are available in four sizes, with or without overhead rear posts.

Satin finished support components and height adjustable legs are standard on all Perf Top Table models.  The legs adjust on 1" (25mm) increments, from 33" to 40" (838 to 1016mm) high.  Models with 74" (1880mm) high rear posts can be customized with optional cantilever shelves or grid panels with accessories.  All units are shipped "knocked-down" to minimize freight charges and handling.  Units can be assembled in minutes.

ESD Classification of this product is:  Non-Conductive (Units can be made conductive with the addition of H.D. aluminum split sleeves and a cleanroom grounding cable.

Strong like wire shelving, it has a lifetime warranty against rust and corrosion.  This product is durable, impact resistant and light in weight than its steel counterpart.  All polymer parts are infused with Microban antimicrobial product protection.  The removable shelf grid mats are easily cleaned in a sink or commercial washer.

This MetroMax i Convenience Pak includes one complete stationary shelving unit per order. FLEXLINE Medication Cart w/Overhead

Metro's Flexline enclosed polymer cart system is designed to provide unique flexibility and contemporary styling that withstands the rigors of today's healthcare or laboratory environment.  Corrosion-proof, smooth, stain-resistant polymer surfaces with rounded corners make cleaning quick and thorough.  Microban antimicrobial product protection is built into every cart, inhibiting the growth of mold, mildew and odor-causing bacteria.

FLEXLINE Medication Cart

This Medication Cart is fully accessorized and ready for service.  It's 3" and 6" (76 &152mm) deep drawers include tray kits with dividers.  The 9" (229mm) deep bottom drawer is ideal for bulk items.  There is a convenient pull-out side shelf for additional work surface.  An auto-lock system with a keyless entry touch-pad, provides secure access.  Side bin storage with a waste basket is located on the left side with an additional side bin, Sharps container and glove box on the right side.  The over head bridge supports (4) large tilt-bins and (6) small tilt-bins on (2) separate rails.

Metro Transfer/Exchange Cart w/Ledges

The Metro Transfer/Exchange Cart w/Ledges features an open-wire compact design that minimizes dust accumulation and permits air circulation, light penetration and a greater visibility of stored items. This versatile heavy-duty cart is ideal for the transfer and/or exchange of bulk supplies throughout functional areas of laboratory and healthcare related facilities.  Enclosure panels on three sides with 4" (102mm) high shelf ledges, help to contain items while the cart is in motion.

This Transfer/Exchange Cart includes (5) 18"x42" (457x1066mm) chrome-plated wire shelves, (4) 74.5" (1895mm) high chrome-plated staked posts, aluminum dolly frame with corner bumpers and (4) 6" (152mm) polyurethane casters (2-swivel/2-brake), side and back enclosure panels, (5) chrome-plated shelf ledges and (1) chrome plated extended push handle.  All shelves may be positioned anywhere along the posts in 1" (25mm) increments.

The maximum weight capacity for this unit is 2000 lbs. (907kg).
